The other day I received an email from Victor, a programmer and physicist who took interest in the Kemani CPLD Key. However Victor was not interested in buying or building the Kemani, he needed troubleshooting help with his own rendition of the Kemani, the Kemani SMD.
Coming in at less than 2″ long, the Kemani SMD features all surface mount devices, including a surface mount 44-pin PLCC socket. The fix to his issues was simple, two CPLD pins were shorted during the reflow process.
I look forward to seeing what Victor will do with his Kemani SMD.
